The History
It has been a wonderful journey since 1947 when our grandfather Shri Maan Singh Kochhar started this catering service.
In the good old days, our elders used to cook food, not just for the family but also for our neighbours and relatives. And this food was loved by one and all, to the extent that it was considered the best in the vicinity, which translated to the Hindi word for very good 'Uttam’. Hence, the name stuck, making us 'Uttam Caterers' literally and later officially. It was first started by Shri Maan Singh Kochhar followed by Shri Manmohan Singh Kochhar followed by Shri Navjeet Singh Kochhar along with his beloved Son - Shri Manmeet Singh Kochhar.
Catering is more than a business to us, it is passion for food that follows the legacy.
